Three posts in a row about RA hair is cutting egde blogging…

It’s a very hectic and busy week for me and Friday will either bring about a huge bang or just fizzle out.

While I’m dealing with RL stuff here’s a quick poll regarding RA hair and if 2 posts on one topic is sloppy, three is just plain old lazy 😉

From RA’s recent looks, which hair length would tickle your pickle more (if you had one that is…)?

Do you favour the sleek and chic Old Hollywood glamour length…

Or would you prefer your fingers to get tangle up in that hot curly mess…

Here’s the quick poll:

Richard Armitage Coiffure Take 2

BAFTA-LA-02

Two Richard Armitage Hair posts in a row is just sloppy blogging, but what’s a fangirl to do?

This could’ve been avoided had Richard emailed me and shared his intentions of walking the red carpet sporting a beyond sexy do!

Next time I hope you’ll be more considerate Richard!

I can’t fixate on the Poldark news until it has been fully confirmed, but maybe we’ll get another round of Armitage as a romantic hero in a BBC costume series, hence the style!

Be still my heart and try to take in the Armitage coiffure beauty without bursting into flames!

No hard feeling though Mr Armitage, your look tickles my lady bits and I most certainly give it my two trembling thumbs up.

It’s a bit of a Brazilian blowout and I refuse to believe you can just step out of the shower, run you’re fingers through it and be off.

There’s no wash and go here!

Visually the do is stunning but I’m withholding passing ultimate judgement until I am able to run my fingers through it!

Is is soft and smooth or more crunchy from hair products?

As much as I approve of Richard’s hair, here are some other styling ideas he may want to consider:

He may want to channel the lovely Dawn French and get himself a Dibley vicar haircut

If that’s a little too conservative, how about a little Justin Beiber (minus the baggy pants and brat behaviour)?

R6

Oh Baby, baby, baby Yeah!

Billy Idol anyone?

R4

It feels like a good day for a white wedding, let me just go grab my veil and I’ll meet you at the altar…

If punk is less your thing and metal is where your tastes lie, how about some rock classic

R1

And my favourite, the artsy take on a Warhol…

R5

and if I want to be a Pin Up, I wouldn’t mind Richard being one too 🙂

My favourite still remains this…

Richard, you still manage to astonish and amaze me each time you appear on any red, green, or aquamarine carpet!

You keep it up and I’ll be more than happy to change the name of the blog to “Richard Hair Watch”!

Ps. Not that I was looking but the hairy chest is back too…

This needed to be done…

Richard Armitage New York glamour December 2012 glasses taxi

I just have time for a quick post today.

The following needed to be done badly…

Richard Armitage glasses

I can only regret that it stylists didn’t see fit to incorporate the glasses, therefore forcing me to bend reality using my trusty Photoshop.

We’ve waited forever for people to realise what a wonderful actor Richard is, now I’ll be waiting eternity for some stylist to realise he looks amazing in glasses.

People need to go back and rewatch Armitage stuff, like a certain John pretending to be Lucas pretending to be a Russian millionaire…

This girl could really make passes at such a guy wearing glasses…

Dear stylists, snap to it 🙂

I want Candy… Eye Candy that is…

I’m busy with college this weekend, so I’d just like to leave you with a few hot pics to help you combat the frosty weather 🙂

Here are a few collages of my favorite Richard Armitage photo shoots representing the past, present, and future and His Highness Gorgeousness I (and hopefully the start of an equally beautiful dynasty).

The past from 2010, during the ‘blue Lucas’ phase

The stance, the beautiful blue eyes and Prada shirt.

And the jeans with no room… for error 😉

Richard Armitage 2010 Blue

The present favorite from December, taken in New York during The Hobbit promotion.

Armitage goes for a more youthful look (Yo! Dude, love the hoodie man!!!), but I like this shoot mostly because it’s so animated and ‘real’.

I like a man who’s good with his hands… errrr… meant to say a man who talks with his hands…

And hopefully Richard’s future styling from now on, from Glamour Magazine UK

The classical styling kills me and I adore the hairstyle.

He even looks like he smells fabulous!

Scratch and sniff…

Sniff and melt…

Melt and scratch… and repeat the process…

Access Your Inner Pin Up Hilda!

Today’s post was inspired by our fellow Armitage Admirer Luciana!

She tweeted info about a Pin Up Artist that portrayed women in a bit of a different way.

I very often post pictures depicting sexy Pin Up’s with nicely rounded bums and I rack worthy enough to hang an apron on, all clad in stockings covering their shapely calf and thighs.

They all ooze innocent sex and are very feminine.

Duane Bryers created a series of amazing  Hilda paintings done specifically for Bigelow & Brown’s Hilda calendars, from 1957 to 1970, although he continued to do original paintings till the early 1980s.

Bryers employed a number of plus-size models to pose for him, reminding each of us that shapely women have always been considered worthy to inspire works of art!

The artist once said:

“I got the idea for a plumpy gal pinup and thought I’d like to make it into a calendar series, but how was I going to sell a plump girl?”

There are many MANY amazing Hilda images, as Duane painted close to 250 pictures of Hilda over 36 years!

I have no doubt this isn’t the last time I’ve posted images by Bryers, so today I’ve opted for pictures that remind me of autumn and early winter.

By the way, Hilda has more curves than I’d know what to do with, but I think we’ve all felt a bit like this at one time or another:

It’s official!

I love Hilda!

It’s time to take a leaf out of her book and grab life by the… chocolate sundae!

Thanks very much Luciana 🙂

Taking Fashion Tips from Guy of Gisborne

I came across the following image at Debbie Does Doodle and it immediately made me think that it’s focusing on the wrong character from the Robin Hood story 🙂

Here’s the styling, which really embodied Robin, but interprets it in a way that any woman would feel feminine and sexy.

Gone are the green tights and dodgy hat.

I especially like the arrow earrings and gold leaf bracelets.

I though about how to reinterpreted the style of our Sherwood sweetheart Guy of Gisborne, and perhaps it could serve as inspiration for a mild version of a Grizzly Gizzy Halloween costume, or a least a themed outfit that nods towards him.

I see plenty of leather, beautiful boots, an interesting studded trench and some green velvet, here present in the form of a clutch bag.

The thighs are on full display and the shoulders are bold.

What’s missing?

I doubt any modern woman could afford to be tied up quite as often as Guy seems to be!

Let’s leave the rope at home!

I’m especially excited about the black pearl Ciate nail varnish.

I’m actually going to get my hands on it today and I’m still not sure if I love it of find it really weird.

Because I’ve been eating very healthy, my nails are very long and strong, so I may end up looking like I was given a manicure by Morticia Addams.

I’ll keep you posted 🙂

Have a wonderful Gizzy Day, take some fashion tips from him and strut like you won’t fit in the door frame!

Thorin Oakenshield Fashion Inspiration for The Hobbit Première

There’s another wonderful wallpaper maker available from The Hobbit.

You can download the whole image here.

Sir PJ is spoiling us!

He seems to be killing us softly with dwarf love!

I took this cropped pic of  brooding Thorin from Jas, as I’m too lazy to do it myself 😉

I love this Thorin Oakenshield image for more reasons than just the brooding obvious sexiness.

I like the detail of the costume and it’ll serve as an inspiration for my Hobbit première look!

I still don’t know if I’ll be able to get to London on the 12th of December just in time for the red carpet event.

We had scheduled to fly out the following day, and now I’m waiting to hear news that we can re-book the plane tickets.

Even if we’re not able to do so, I’ll still be there for the movie premiere on the 14th of December and I’m mega excited about that!

I’m so grateful I can’t even begin to express it, as the whole trip is a Birthday present from those who love me most 🙂

My love don’t cost a thing, but I sure like it when people spend some dosh loving me!

All I can go now is keep my fingers cross that the fangurling gods deem to bless us with cheap KLM tickets so I can stand (for hours) beside other Tolkien fans trying to catch a glimpse of the Hobbit cast.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, if you know you will be in London that between the 12th and 16th of December and would like to meet up with fellow Richard Armitage admirers, please let me know!

I think it’d be great to meet up and perhaps catch the movie together 🙂

I’ve been mentioning ways we can celebrate The Hobbit première in previous posts like growing a pair of bushy dwarf brows or braiding your hair.

I’d like to incorporate some Thorin elements in my look without ending up looking like a Klingon at a Star Trek convention.

Depending on the weather I’ll either borrow my sister’s faux fur vest which I’ll wear on top of a jumper, or I’ll have a large faux fur collar made to wear on top of my winter jacket.

Under that I’m planning on designing a few Hobbit/Thorin T-shirts.

If they are any good, I’ll post the images here on the off-chance someone might like to have one too.

If any of my readers come up with designs that they’d like to share with others in our little community of friends, please send it my way!

It’ll be my pleasure to share them here on my blog!

How amazing would it be if we could have a variety of  T-shirt designs to choose from!

Remember that’s it’s very easy to transfer an image onto fabric at home, which I have proven here.

Another vital element in my Hobbit look are my TH jeans.

I first mentioned them in a post about losing weight, with the TH standing for Tommy Hilfiger.

Judit however asked if TH meant The Hobbit, and from that point on, that’s exactly what they are!

My The Hobbit skinny jeans 🙂

I’m still a far away from fitting in them, but I’m getting closer every day, and seeing that I have 73 days before traveling to London, that’s a goal I’m willing to work towards!

Each time I’m tempted to eat something naughty or I decide that Jillian Michaels will never know I skipped my exercise that day, I have my Hobbit jeans to remind me!

Apart from that I need to think of an over the shoulder bag that will fit all my fanguling essentials like a mobile phone to Tweet, a camera to snap pics, a bottle of water to prevent dehydration in all that excitement, and a purse full of GBP (we all know how expensive London can be!).

Please note there is no room for cigarettes in that bag!

A woven leather belt seems like a nice fashion nod towards Thorin.

I also want a snazzy pair of earrings, but I’ll have to research that a little more!

How about some sword earrings?

Here’s the warmer December weather look for The Hobbit première:

Here’s for when winter decides to show its frosty face in December in London:

Do you have any other ideas how we can celebrate The Hobbit by drawing fashion inspiration from Thorin Oakenshield?
