The AgzyM. There and Back Again!

Resist Gizzy

Dearest Friends,

I’ve been a bad bad fangirl and blogger, but I didn’t think it would take me so long to get back in the saddle.

I’d like to thank everyone who emailed me during my absence here, it really means to the world to know someone out there is thinking: Hey, wonder whatever happened to that weird chick?

I’d especially like to thank a certain someone who rhymes with…. eerrrr… Lervetus (not a real word…) for bringing Richard on board to cheerlead me.

Your support has been invaluable, so Thank YOU for being there when I literally thought I wouldn’t write a page worth a damn (not to mention a degree).

The academic part of my degree is done, and I’m happy to report that I’m satisfied with the results.

As to that other little matter of my thesis… well, let’s say there’s still miles to go before I sleep.

As some of you may know, I decided to change my topic from fashion to…..

Drumrollsssss….

Fandoms and fanfiction!

Yup, obsessive admiration has now bled into yet ANOTHER part of my life, but in my darkest hours (spent tearing my hair out and packed with sleepless nights worrying that I couldn’t/wasn’t writing) having a topic so dear to my heart was my saving grace.

As I hark on about myself you’re all thinking when I’ll shut up and start behaving like a proper blogger contributing to an esteemed fandom.

Well, I do intend to make these blogging thingies a norm (heavens help us all…) but I need to ask something in return, the greedy thing that I am.

I have just completed my second chapter and I am moving on to the last one which may prove to be the most challenging.

In it I will be using a number of my favourite fanfics as a case study, and I need to call upon you (yes, YOU!) to help me get enough data to fill the last 18 pages.

I hope to get feedback from fandom members,  fanfiction authors and readers.

That is why I need to call upon you my dear friends, as I need to pick your fangirling brains in order to complete this last (and most challenging) chapter.

Guy of Gizzy Survey_edytowany-1

I have constructed a tiny (and I MEAN tiny as in 10 questions) survey that will take you under 3 minutes to complete.

It’s a basic list of questions to get me started on my findings and will serve as an intro to the chapter.

It would mean the world to me if you took 3 minutes out of your ogling hot men time to take it!

Here’s a link to the survey:

Just so you don’t think I’m asking for something for nothing in return!

The sooner I complete the chapter (with your help), the sooner I can turn my mind to the topic of a very vital Birthday celebration that is taking place in August.

Continuing last years tradition, in return for your help I promise another Operation Armitage Birthday Competition.

Gizzy Competition

Yup, for 7 days to countdown towards Richard’s Birthday (also known as Armitage Day) you will have a chance to get your hands on an Armitage goodie.

That’s right!

I’m insulting your intelligence by bribing you with a week long Armitage competition with prizes, as well as guilting you into taking my damn survey, a move worthy of Gizzy himself 🙂

That’s what friends are for!

Oh, by the way, did I mention this survey you can take AND pass on to others?

No?

Well here it is again:

And hell! It’s good to be back! 🙂

Ps. Click on image to see Gizzy riding his horse naked…

Ok, maybe it’s a link to that damn survey I’m cramming down your throat…

Again, Gizzy would approve of my tactics, although would probably object to chafing caused my horse-riding in the duff!

2 Days till Richard’s Birthday! Operation Armitage Competition!

Welcome to the countdown to Richard Armitage’s Birthday!

This is day SIX of Operation Armitage.

I’ve been having so much fun, and I hope you have too.

Congratulations to the winners so far!

Congrats to the winner of the competition from yesterday 🙂

To read about the rules, please go HERE.

This image of  Thorin, Gizzy, Thornton, and bearded Armitage, created by our super talented  Seba, from Gisborne’s Boy, is one of my favorites 🙂

It’s hard not to be swept away by Richard Armitage.

Even producers agree, and have hired Richard to play in a tornado movie.

I think all of us hope that if a tornado sweeps Richard away, he’ll land right on our doorstep.

Remember that to enter the competition, and get have the postman deliver this bag to your door, please leave the answer to the following question in comments, and keep your fingers crossed.

The question is:

If you could save only ONE Armitage DVD or audiobook from a tornado, which one would it be and why?

Comments close at 12pm GMT tomorrow, when the next opportunity to win an Armitage shopping bag is posted 🙂

Please make sure I have the means to contact you, either by email or Twitter!

7 Days till Richard’s Birthday! Operation Armitage Competition!

Welcome to the countdown to Richard Armitage’s Birthday!

This is the FIRST day of the competition, and there’s a chance to win an Armitage goodie every day for the next 7 days!

To read about the rules, please go HERE.

Up for grabs today is…

This cotton shopping bag, adorned with a one-of-a-kind illustration by our very talented Seba from Gisborne’s Boy!

Guess the cat’s out of the bag.

I bet you never thought you’d see Standring, Thornton, and Harry frolicking in a field together!

What’s more, it’s strange to feel jealous of a lamb 😉

Remember that to enter the competition, and get your beautifully manicured paws on this item, all you need to do is answer the following question in comments, and keep your fingers crossed.

As the RA fandom knows no barriers, those who feel very uncomfortable answering in English can answer in their native tongue.

If you see a comment in another language, please translate in the reply if you can!

The question is:

What does a female sheep say when she sees Richard Armitage?

Comments close at 12pm GMT tomorrow, when the next opportunity to win an Armitage delight is posted 🙂

Please make sure I have the means to contact you, either by email or Twitter!

Good Luck!

Thanks to Seba, Magzy, and Max’s iPhone for collaborating on this project 🙂

Operation Armitage Birthday starts TOMORROW!

It starts tomorrow!

From Wednesday, for the next 7 days, OPERATION ARMITAGE BIRTHDAY will commence.

In an effort to thank all my lovely friends from the RA Community, I have decided to celebrate the countdown to Richard’s Birthday in a very special way.

You can look at it as my way of saying Thank You for your friendship and support.

To do that, I have enlisted the help of my partner in crime  Seba, from Gisborne’s Boy , and we have endeavoured to make this week special.

A HUGE Thank You to Seba for all his hard work and for sharing his wonderful talent for all of us to enjoy!

If he had known just how hard it would be, I doubt he would have agreed, but I’ll worry about that the next time I get a crazy idea and need his help 😉

Starting tomorrow, 12pm GMT, you ( yes, YOU!) will have the chance to get your hands on a one-of-a-kind Richard Armitage related goodie each and every day for the next 7 days.

As you may have gathered, neither I or Seba mess around, and we’ve put out heart and soul into making the particular items as yummy as possible, and we really hope you enjoy what we’ve come up with.

Horrid as I am, I’m not going to tell you what the goodies are, they will be revealed to you each day.

Here’s how we play the game:

At 12pm GMT on each of the 7 days I will post.

The item up for grabs will be revealed.

These are all one-of-a-kind, so there won’t be any exchanges for other items, and No, you can’t get cash instead 😉

I will ask a question connected with the item.

You leave your answers in the comments section, remembering to sign in with a valid email address and/or twitter account.

At exactly 12pm GMT the next day, as another post is out, I close comments, write all the names from comments on pieces of paper, throw them in a box, and my lucky hand will draw ONE name from the box.

This is the winner of the day!

You may ask why you have to answer the question asked in the post if all the names go into the box.

Well, let’s just say I want you to sing for your supper 🙂

Plus, I love to read your comments!

I will be contacting the lucky winners, so make sure I have the means to do that!

If by the 22nd I can’t get in touch with someone, I will pull out another name from the list from that day.

You are more than welcome to enter your name on multiple days, although the winner will be eliminated from the other draws.

I hope to see you all here tomorrow, 12pm GMT!

Good Luck!
