The Richard Armitage Silent Auction starts Friday! Rules and Procedures

This is a looooong post, but please read through it carefully before you bid.

RA Silent auction tux pic

The RA Silent Auction starts this Friday 29th of November at 9am GMT.

The auction will last till the 2nd of December 9am GMT.

We have an amazing variety of items going under the hammer (20 goodies in 17 separate auctions), many but not all connected to RA.

Please make sure you stop by, peruse over the delicious goodies we have lined up, and bid your heart out 🙂

ALL of the proceedings from the auction will go to an RA JustGiving charity!

Below I have written out the procedure of the silent auction, as well as the general rules that apply.

Before bidding, please make sure that you read through these points and please email me if you have any questions at RASilentAuction [at] wp.pl

Apart from the silent auction there will also be a poll to determine which RA JustGiving charity the RA Silent Auction funds will go to.

There will also be a raffle for all of those who bid, comment, retweet, repost, reblog and are generally refabulous (not a real word…), with the chance to win an RA goodie.

If you wish to contribute to the RA Silent Auction Fund, but will not be taking part in the bidding, I have established a Donate button on the side.

Please state clearly that this is a donation and not a payment for an auction item.

RA Silent Auction procedure:

The auction starts at 9am GMT on the 29th of November at 9am GMT and ends on the 2nd of December 9am GMT.

Any bids that come before or after that time will not count.

All items will be featured in one auction post that will be published on Friday the 29th of November at 9am GMT.

All bids must be sent via email to RASilentAuction [at] wp.pl

Comments to this post will be open and you are encouraged to leave your thoughts, but bidding in the comments section will not count.

All of the items up for auction have been generously donated by my wonderful RA friends.

Some items are one-of-a-kind and a minimum bid has been established, the other items have no minimum bid.

The good news is there’s no maximum, so bid big on multiple items 😉

Each item has an identification number.

When emailing your bid please write the item number in the subject line.

Bid email

Apart from the item number and your bid, please do not include any personal details, address etc.

After you have won the auction I will email you with further instructions regarding the transfer.

After the money is transferred I will request your shipping details which I will pass on to the person who donated the item.

Make sure to check your email so I can contact you if/when you win.

All bids must be made in GBP (pound sterling) in order to unify the currency.

All transfers are to be made to the RA Silent Auction PayPal account.

PayPal converts your currency automatically.

Unfortunately, due to logistics other means of transfer will not be possible.

If you do not have a PayPal account, I can assure you it’s very quick easy to set up and safe to use.

If I do not hear from the auction winner by the 8th of December 10am GMT the item goes to the second highest bidder.

After the transfer is completed and I have received your shipping details, the item/items will be sent directly from the person who donated it.

The postage + packing costs will also be covered by the person who has donated the item/items.

After all the transfers have been completed, I will tally them all up and send the money from the RASilentAuction PayPal account to the RA charity that was chosen in the poll that will appear in tomorrow’s auction post.

RULES:

The auction is open internationally and everyone can bid (apart from me, AgzyM, unless an item does not receive any other bids), including those generous people who have donated the auction prizes.

You can bid multiple times on multiple items.

You may raise your bid, but please don’t lower it.

All bids are confidential (hence the silent auction) so I will not be disclosing any information during or after the auction.

All bids must be made in GBP via email RASilentAuction [at] wp.pl and all transfers via PayPal.

ALL the money raised during the auction will be transferred to an RA JustGiving charity.

The information that you provide, including your email address, bids, shipping details etc. will be handled with respect and the information obtained will be treated as confidential.

Due to the nature of this auction, I have asked Guylty to serve as independent arbitrary/umpire.

If there are any questions regarding the auction, bidding, money transfers etc., Guylty will have access to auction information and will analyse your question/claim as an independent arbitrary.

If you have any questions about the auction, please email me at RASilentAuction [at]wp.pl

By bidding I will assume that you understand the procedure and rules of the auction and have agreed to them.

I hope everyone enjoys the  auction and see you back here Friday 9am GMT 🙂

Richard Armitage Coiffure Take 2

BAFTA-LA-02

Two Richard Armitage Hair posts in a row is just sloppy blogging, but what’s a fangirl to do?

This could’ve been avoided had Richard emailed me and shared his intentions of walking the red carpet sporting a beyond sexy do!

Next time I hope you’ll be more considerate Richard!

BAFTA-LA-04

I can’t fixate on the Poldark news until it has been fully confirmed, but maybe we’ll get another round of Armitage as a romantic hero in a BBC costume series, hence the style!

Be still my heart and try to take in the Armitage coiffure beauty without bursting into flames!

No hard feeling though Mr Armitage, your look tickles my lady bits and I most certainly give it my two trembling thumbs up.

It’s a bit of a Brazilian blowout and I refuse to believe you can just step out of the shower, run you’re fingers through it and be off.

There’s no wash and go here!

Visually the do is stunning but I’m withholding passing ultimate judgement until I am able to run my fingers through it!

Is is soft and smooth or more crunchy from hair products?

As much as I approve of Richard’s hair, here are some other styling ideas he may want to consider:

He may want to channel the lovely Dawn French and get himself a Dibley vicar haircut

R3

If that’s a little too conservative, how about a little Justin Beiber (minus the baggy pants and brat behaviour)?

R6

Oh Baby, baby, baby Yeah!

Billy Idol anyone?

R4

It feels like a good day for a white wedding, let me just go grab my veil and I’ll meet you at the altar…

If punk is less your thing and metal is where your tastes lie, how about some rock classic

R1

And my favourite, the artsy take on a Warhol…

R5

and if I want to be a Pin Up, I wouldn’t mind Richard being one too 🙂

My favourite still remains this…

Richard, you still manage to astonish and amaze me each time you appear on any red, green, or aquamarine carpet!

You keep it up and I’ll be more than happy to change the name of the blog to “Richard Hair Watch”!

Ps. Not that I was looking but the hairy chest is back too…

Who has dwarved a Dwarf?

As most of you probably know I made the decision to step away from the madness of The Hobbit  promotional tour, and now I’m in the delicious position of receiving a daily dose of new (well, new to me anyway…) RA and dwarf news.

Talk about a gift that keeps on giving 😉

I was browsing through the pictures taken on the 12th December, 2012 when The Duke of Cambridge attended the 65th Royal Film Performance 2012, at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London (and curtseying while I was doing so, you know, just to stick to protocol…).

Holy cow!

Do you see what’s strange with this picture?

Well, apart from Aidan Turner  photobombing the heir to the throne…

Someone has managed to dwarf the leading dwarf!!

Prince William stands at 6′ 3″, creating an interesting effect which I haven’t seen before since I’ve followed (obsessed, drooled, gone crazy over, whatever you choose to call it…) Richard Armitage.

At 6′ 2″ (and a disputable/questionable half…quick, someone bring me a tape measure) it seems Richard isn’t looking down at someone for a change.

Here’s a better pic from Me+Richard where you’ll find a plethora of other pictures capturing this moment.

Screen shot 2012-12-12 at 1.01.49 PM

Although William strikes a dashing pose, I think Richard has him beat in the regal department , so nice try Duke, but I’ll stick to my Prince Charming if you don’t mind…

William can keep his titles and palaces, I know whose hairline I’d like to run my fingers through.

In the battle of the Roman nose, I smell anti-royalistic moods.

Screen shot 2012-12-12 at 1.01.43 PM

Talking about the Armitage nose, the lovely lady in the black dress standing to Richard’s right is apparently his mother (although I’m not sure it’s ever been confirmed), but she looks proud as punch, and why shouldn’t she?

Mrs Armitage actually looks so much like my mother, I think I need to talk to a shrink to analyze how I feel about that (OK, I don’t actually see one, but it is eery as all heck!).

Back to the topic of the nice lady, this reminds me of the interview for a Polish breakfast show Dzień Dobry TVN  (it’s the second clip or watch below) where she’s asked who he called first when he found out he’d be playing Thorin as the film had just got the green light (at 2:02).

Richard’s answer:

I think I called my mum!

Smelling salts!!

Quick, someone pass me the smelling salts!

This man’s cuteness will be the death of me 😉

Richard Armitage

Ps. Consulted the mother doppelgänger issue with my sister Magzy, freaking her the hell out…

Yup, she concurs, mother to Mr RA + mother to Ms AM= twins
