Splitting hairs about Richard’s hair…

Armitage Bald

The debate continues, so cue the hair puns!

Hair we go:
Todd is going to great lengths to finish this cutting edge tornado flick and one can only hope he’ll pony up soon, once he straightens out a few things.

I think it’s great he tweets pics hair and there of highlight from the film, we’re still waiting for a great clip, so I’m brushing off any criticism from other fans that he’s showing his true colours by teasing us.

There’ve been some cutting remarks, but let’s knot get tied up about it.

Armitage Hair magic Black Sky

There have been discussions throughout the RA community regarding Garner’s intentions and the disturbing change in Richard’s hair length, as he’s clearly still sporting hair from down under… and I mean from NZ, so get your mind out of the gutter!

It’s something I’ll have to mullet over, although it looks like the mane issues were covered here and here, so check it out if you want to get to the root of the problem.

Gary Thorin Hair

The truth is I can’t wait for the tornado flick, it doesn’t wash any more and I feel stranded.
I’m receding now, it’s all getting too hairy for me and I think I’m just splitting hairs now.

So, to cut this short, hairs to your success Richard!

You are a cut above the rest and we are rooting for you!

A film by any other name is still not on my screen…

A film by any other name is still not on my screen…

Foreword:

In the wee small hours of the morning, I had a mini blogging panic attack with regards to this post which had been scheduled to come out a few hours later.

My main assumption was that tornadoes are accompanied by rain, but this is no Kansas and the closest I’ve ever come to a tornado is that little whirl you get when you pull out the drain plug.

If there’s no rain, I was royally screwed!

I can now confirm that there are “rain-wrapped” tornadoes.

Gary Morris Armitage

Oh, and Richard is actually wet in this pic and that’s all the confirmation I need 🙂

So without further ado…

Armitage tornado1

There are clearly some issues with Richard’s project that he filmed last year in the US and that we’re still waiting on.

The movie has gone through a list of titles:

Category Six

Black Sky

Now we think (but who really knows…) that it’ll be called:

Into the Storm

My favourite by far is Bccmee’s Tornado of Love, but the film producers seem to be ignoring this far superior option.

So what if it would require minimising the main drizzly and windy plotline in favour of Richard getting hot and heavy with his leading lady?

(Release the weather puns…)

Now that’s a story that would sweep me away!

I actually encourage any shifts that will focus on the love part rather than the tornado one, do you catch my drift?

And if things get breezy and actors get disrobed in the process, I say go with the flow…

But seriously though, I really can’t wait for the tornado movie to come out, they say there’s a twist at the end.

I though that maybe we should give a helping hand and offer some other title alternatives to speed the process up and get Richard onto out screens asap, because waiting is quite a blow!

So make sure your mind is not clouded or in a fog because we may have mist some great film title ideas.

How about:

 The Storm Chaser of Dibley

Harry rain_edytowany-3

There’s something about yellow rain gear that makes me giggle.

You can even protect the essentials from the rain… don’t want things getting damp…

Moving swiftly along… how about:

Gary Hood

Guy rain 1

Guy sure looks miserable enough to know a thing or two about dire conditions.

I can just imagine him standing there, sword in hand, ready to fight the tornado, at the same time blaming the sheriff for it.

Put on your willies, grab the torchlight, put your thinking waterproof cap on and tell me:

What are your tornado movie title ideas?

PS. Impromptu image for Perry

RA Dragon

And another quick one…

RA dragon 3

The Elusive Tornado

I’ve been thinking quite a lot about what’s next for Richard Armitage.

OK, I’ve been thinking a lot about Richard, and one of the topics, apart from those thunder thighs donned in a gorgeous suit,  is what’s in store for him.

Remember when the wonderful Bccmee made this poster a year ago almost to the day?

We still didn’t know what would be its title, although Category Six was the working title.

A year has passed, and it all seems as muddled now as it did back then.

RAFrenzy wrote about whether it’s time to get our tornado gear ready for Black Sky, and I was already getting my willies (LOL! typo and it’s staying there!) out of the fangirling wardrobe…

Then this popped up in my Twitter feed:

Black Sky Twitter

As far as I know, no reply to the last question came.

What does it all mean?

Did Nathan Kress, who stars alongside Richard in Black Sky, simply get his dates wrong?

Are we to wait another year while things get settled?

As far as I know ( and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong), but it seems that everyone is staying mum on the topic of the release date.

When’s it gonna RAin Richard ?

Richard and Benedict

Richard, I’m a bit worried and here’s why:

Richard Armitage IMDB

Am I the only one who’s thinking why the heck there aren’t other projects lined up for Richard or at least rumoured.

I understand that The Hobbit is a huge commitment and has taken up a good portion of RA’s time, but shouldn’t things already be in the works?

Should Richard be striking the Orcist while it’s hot?

Since I’ve been away I’ve found myself lurking and making my way through other fandoms and, wouldn’t you know it, the BBC Sherlock one, and Benedict Cumberbatch seemed to have stuck like fangirling glue.

Seba asked me if I had become a Cumberbitch.

I’m already a bitch so adding the Cumber hardly seemed like a stretch 😉

And no, I’m not abandoning my first crush as Richard as he and I have the perfect relationship- I admire him so wholeheartidly and he doesn’t know I exist.

I see these new crushes as adding a fresh tasty dish to my already superb ogling and squeezing buffet 😉

I’m still loyal to the RArmy, so please don’t worry, I haven’t deflected!

The thing about being a fan of Cumberbatch is that there news every week.

I mean every freaking time I go on Tumblr there’s something new.

I swear his fans are the most spoilt lucky admirers known to man (or woman).

2013 will be raining Cumberbatch, so best get your fangirling willies on!

Don’t believe me?

Have a look at Benedict’s future projects:

Benedict Cumberbatch IMDB

The thing that confuses me is why Richard’s IMDB page listing future projects is so much smaller than Benedict’s.

I mean freaking Black Sky? Really? Apart from The Hobbit franchise that’s something to set my heart aflutter?

Don’t get me wrong, I may end up eating my words regarding this twister movie, when it’s finally released that is…

I know Benedict is the IT boy right now and Sherlock has skyrocketed his career.

It’s also true that some of the roles listed are supporting ones, but still.

Richard has the looks, he has the talent, the experience and thanks to The Hobbit he’s not just another British actor.

Richard is no chopped liver, or any other offal for that matter..

So what the fudge Richard?

Either you’re holding out on us or producers don’t know a good thing when it comes stormy towards them on thick muscular thighs!

Supersize Richard? The more the merrier or Stay on that treadmill please?

My determination to lose a few pounds has got me thinking about Mr Armitage and his beyond hot body.

I’m not trying to be vulgar, but that body really makes you want to give it a sponge bath…

We know Richard looks after himself, exercises regularly (I need pictures as proof please).

We know he’s a method actor and goes the extra mile to play his role convincingly.

We’ve seen him super skinny as a tormented Lucas North in Spooks.

 series712

Get the man some fish&chips asap!

He’s bulked up as John Porter in Strike Back.

It looks like John has been eating all his vegetables!

Richard’s playing a stocky dwarf Thorin in The Hobbit, although the effect is achieved thanks to padding.

Despite the saying about men who wear big shoes, they seem to need extra padding…

Now he’s sporting a surprisingly slim frame as Gary the teacher in Black Sky.

Gary Morris Armitage

I hope the tornado doesn’t blow him away 🙂

My question is:

Would you like to see Richard Armitage gain weight for a film role?

I’m not talking about a few kilograms to bulk up.

I mean Val Kilmer proportions (sorry Val).

Step off the treadmill and grow a double chin and bear gut.

Would Richard still be as appealing to you?

Hello Ladies, meet Gary!

I hope you are preparing for the collective reading of Sharon Kay Penman’s The Sunne in Splendour.

I’m taking a rest from RIII today, which doesn’t mean I’m not ripping through the book !

Because I mean to write about the story in more detail, I’m actually trying to take my time, underlining things to mention in my Richard III for Dummies posts  (Part 1 and Part 2) , which is something new, as I love reading super fast.

A Book a day keeps the Brain Rot away!

But I have another saying:

An Armitage Goodie makes the whole day Yummy!

While I was busy with life and other silliness, @Todd_Garner gave us a RA boost with a pic and a name reveal for Richard’s character in Black Sky!

The man is teasing us, and it feels Oh! so good 😉

Wet has never looked this good, I think you’ll all agree!

It’s nice to see Armitage not being tortured, suicidal, drowning or on the verge of a mental breakdown.

I think Richard should take of that shirt and suit before he catches a chill 😉

Now that Richard is comfy relaxing in bubbles, it’s time to focus on the character name:

It’s an interesting choice.

According to Wiki the popularity of Gary as a given name in the United States has been on a very slow, but steady decline.

In the 1990s, this name was the 170th most popular, given to around 0.1% of newborn males.

Here’s a chart:

The short form for Gary is either Gar or Gaz.

Am I the only one that’s a tad disappointed that he’s not John?

Nevertheless, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet 🙂

Play Where’s Richard Armitage? Spot our Precious!

There’s been a lot of commotion surrounding another pic courtesy of @Todd_Garner from the set of Black Sky.

RAFrenzy tests the level of fangurling with this picture.

Can you see Richard in it?

I have to admit that even with clues I still struggled to spot him.

I’m a tad relieved about that if I’m honest 🙂

I can’t afford to start seeing Richard everywhere- clouds in the sky, mould on the wall, grain in wood.

Or in a pile of debris…

I’m trying to avoid seeing things like this in my RL!

Anyway, if it really is Richard in that pic, then well-played Mr Garner!

It’s a game I’ll gladly play, even though it messes with my mind.

Talking about games, here’s Where’s Richard?

Try  and spot Mr Armitage in the least likely places.

The answers will be featured at the end.

Who’s rumbling is the jungle?

Where’s our favorite Leo on Safari?

Can you spot our Marathon Man?

That beautiful mug can never be just another face in the crowd, can it?

Who’s got the most bouncy spring in their step?

Where’s the yummiest dish?

Can you spot the Sexy Swamp Thing?

I’m sure you did much better than I did with that pile of Garner debris 🙂

Here are the answers:

A Good Morning for Armitage Admirers + Chicks Dig Glossy Armitage Lips!

It’s another great day for the Armitage admirers!

I’ll start with some yummy news.

It’s seems that Frenz has bagged an interview with Todd Garner.

He in the producer of the film Richard is shooting now called Black Sky.

You can also follow him of Twitter @Todd_Garner.

Garner has proven to be very friendly towards Armitage admirers, and has even tweeted the pic we’ve all been drooling cooing over.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to do a little cooing over Frenz.

As I tweeted earlier, out of all the American b*lls of Richard Armitage admirers, I think Frenz owns my favorite pair!

I can’t wait to read the interview 🙂

By the way, whenever the movie, and its lead Richard Armitage is mentioned, the following picture is used.

It’s interesting, as it shows our favorite desert trooper John Porter.

It makes sense you’d want Porter by your side with a natural disaster looming.

I would, however, go with the following image of Porter to promote Armitage’s involvement in the film.

His clothes just happen to have been blown away by the tornado 😉

A post written by Servetus reminded me of something I had been meaning to mention a while back.

I’ve seen North & South hundreds of times.

Each time I do, there are new things I observe, then there are those that always catch my eye.

One of the things that sticks out is just how glossy Thornton’s lips are in the scene where Nicholas Higgins comes to ask for a job at the mill.

Yum!

I’m a bit fan of Smackers Grape Fanta  flavour lip balm, but in Thornton’s case, I’m guessing cherry 🙂

I can just imagine a make-up lady running up to Richard in-between takes, making sure that pucker if glossy, soft and kissable!

Some gals have all the luck…

Another fan encounter + Write me maybe, Richard!

I adore waking up to wonderful Armitage news.

Yet another fan got the chance to meet Richard.

Suzi describes her encounter at RAC (see pic below).

A huge Thank You to Suzi for sharing!

She says Mr Armitage is nothing special to look at, quite grumpy, refused autographs and pictures, and was a thoroughly unpleasant man.

OK, not really, but I think this encounter may break the back of some RA fans who long to meet him 😉

Me?

I live vicariously through other lucky RA admirers!

I’m still waiting on a message from Richard, although it seems that it’s the last days of shooting in one location, so things have been busy for our precious on the set of Black Sky.

My sister has another theory about why we haven’t received a post-Armitage Day message yet (apart from one simply never coming…).

Our fandom consists mostly of fab females.

In order to write a message to his female fans, Richard would require a set of:

Yes, ladies, our dreams have come true!

In many countries females were given the right to vote in the 1920s, but it wasn’t until the good people at BIC finally realised we simply can’t use those ordinary masculine pens, that we are now able to exercise our rights.

The pens as slim (we are women after all, and that word should be our mantra), pastel coloured, and some swear that in the place of a dot, it draws little glittering hearts!

And no, they don’t vibrate…

I can hardy contain my joy, and I’m not the only one who’s bursting with pride and emotions!

Don’t take my word for it.

Read about the revolutionary aspect of *gulp* giving women a pens of their own, but be warned.

We ended up spending hours yesterday evening, crying with laughter.

After all, who thought it was a good idea to give a woman a tool that is mightier than a sword?

What’s next?

We leave the kitchen?

Get a job?

The mind boggles!

Thanks BIC for identifying my needs.

Now get Richard Armitage a set, pronto!

A nice set of pastel-coloured, super slim pens, to write a message that any average Mary, Jane and Sally can understand!

Awaiting Richard’s 2012 Birthday Message to Fans

It’s one of those morning, where I really didn’t know what to write about.

I usually jot ideas on a piece of paper, and every morning a topic pops up, which I end up elaborating on.

Often the final product has little to do with the initial idea, but that’s what makes blogging fun.

Today is not the day to pull something from the ol’ list, so I’ll just write about what’s been on my mind since Armitage day.

Am I the only one who really just can’t freakin’ wait for Richard’s Birthday message to fans?

I haven’t noticed any chatter about, but I doubt it’s not crossed your mind.

If you don’t know what I’m on about, or if you simply want to read the messages from previous years, please go to Richard Armitage Online.

Ever since Armitage Day I’ve woken up, switched on my laptop, and I’ve been going through RA blogs in hopes of finding that posts are littered with a thorough analysis of a new RA message.

Last year we were lucky to receive one on the 25th of August.

If you’re new to the fandom, let me just write a few words about the thrill of learning Richard has once again connected with his fans, and has been gracious enough to send us a kind word or two.

The best word to describe the thrill is electric.

Reading it is like being struck by Armitage lightening, but in oppose to the real thing, this one is immensely pleasant.

You’re hands start shaking, body temperature rises, you start hyperventilating a bit, and you’re mesmerized.

To quote Edward Cullen:

“[it’s] like my personal brand of heroin”

The thought had occurred to me that it’s awfully presumptuous to automatically assume one is coming.

I’m sure he’s busy on the set of Black Sky, what with all the hugging of fans 😉

The man is under no obligation to do anything of the sort, but deep in my heart I believe he understands how much it means to the Armitage fandom.

But if it doesn’t, I don’t think I’ll be the only one who feels like this…

What do you think?

Can we be expecting a post-Birthday message from  Richard Armitage in 2012?

Update: The pic up top is a treat from @todd_garner and shows Richard on the set of Black Sky.

Garner also tweeted another pic:

The guy is handsome, and I’m thankful he shoots all the risky scenes, so our precious doesn’t have to, but, if I’m honest, he’s no Richard 😉

Anyway, thank you Mr Garner, and keep those tasty RA snacks coming, as we all have one heck of an appetite!
