Richard Armitage 2.0 and me babbling, so nothing new there…

I really don’t know where to start.

I’m not going to go through ALL the information that appeared magically while I was sleeping, but I encourage you to check out RANet.

I’ve made the decision to leave passing on info to others and will just enjoy the Hobbit festivities that will start at 3.50am my time, meaning it’ll be 12 hours later in NZ, so 3.50pm.

Here’s the timeline according to RANet:

3:50pm Show Opening/Welcome

4:00pm Neil Finn Performance

4:30pm Talent arrivals, red carpet interviews & crowd interaction

6:30pm Official Speeches

7:00pm End of Show

It seems I’ll be up till 7am.

I’ve decided to just enjoy myself and not worry about posting for the time being.

I don’t want to be like one of those people who go half way around the world just to see the sights through their camera or camcorder lens.

Another  reason why I won’t be posting straight away is that I’ll be busy on Twitter where my madness will sink among the absolute frenzy of my fellow tweeps 🙂

I hope you join us and Armitage Watch, remembering the #RAHobbitNZ.

You can rely on TORn to keep you up-to-date, so make sure you figure out what time the première starts.

All images RANet, thank you so much!

Can we please put the myth to bed that Richard Armitage is so flaming shy and bashful, the poor dear.

RA has been tackling the promotion of The Hobbit superbly.

He’s been standing centre stage, even if he has to do a partial split in order to reduce his height 🙂

I’ve always said that Richard seems to take on some traits from the character he portrays.

This was evident during the promotion of Spooks where he even appeared in ‘Lucas‘ clothes (hello there sexy tight jeans and blue shirts!).

I feel that Richard is embracing the leader role he’s been playing, both as the head of a bunch of rowdy dwarves, as well as one of the main actors in possible three of the biggest movies of this decade.

Unless you accept that role, how else will you accept the fact that your face, your eyes, you nose, all in giant format, grace the side of an aeroplane?

I understand that everything apart from Richard’s chin has been covered up my prosthetics, but it’s still him.

There can be little confusion about that!

Maybe Richard has previously presenting himself the way he’d think was appropriate with the projects he’s been busy on.

A British TV series automatically would demand that he be a bit humble.

That would be even more visible during the promotion of Captain America.

He wasn’t the star, nowhere close.

Most people would even think his part was all that memorable (but we know better).

He took a nice (and nervous) backseat to the other celebrities that didn’t have their name mispronounced during an interview.

By the way, I’ve been wondering about what style Richard would be sporting for the première.

Comic-Con was very casual, I wasn’t a big fan of the Captain America red carpet look (sorry, just being honest…).

This photo has put my mind at ease.

I have a feeling that RA has been taking advice from some very knowledgable and respectful stylist who knows how to balance out the rock and roll cool with a smart twist.

Let’s not forget that for some of us (the lucky few…) this is actually a double Hoot Hoot!

There are a few ladies out there that share my taste in men completely and cheat on Richard with a little somethin’ somethin’ on the side meaning:

Aidan Turner!

That means going through all the footage double the amount to fish out both dwarvin’ hotties!

I now need to get my sweaty hands on the picture of two of them hugging.

I’ve mentioned before that the embrace is a thing of beauty.

The only thing missing was a nice bum pat like athletes give one another after scoring a point, touchdown or whatever else makes slapping each others rears OK!

I’ll be adding that particular image when I get my hands on them… errrr…meaning the photo 😉

A post with NO THORIN!!!

I won’t even utter in a low voice: Elves!

No mention of Richard Armitage, not even my new favorite James Dean-esque picture, nor the airport candid-ish snapshot.

I need some LOL’s today, so here are some cheap thrills and laughs, courtesy of CDAN, my ultimate guilty pleasure website!

Just one of those days, so I’m adding an almost 60 minute compilation.

You have been warned 😉

I just need to watch people be idiots and do stupid things.

News bloopers.

I love these! (especially today…)

More news bloopers 😉

80s Boombox Thorin on a Silly Sunday

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.

If you haven’t heard, 2 Armitage Admirers saw Richard Armitage in New Zealand at the airport, but to get the juicy details hop on to Twitter.

The story is wonderful, so make sure you check it out @kellyduck and @AnnaPatonNZ.

There are days when Twitter is so much fun and if you haven’t given it a try, I urge you to.

It may take a while to get used to (140 signs? I use more when I sneeze…), but it’s a wonderful place for a laugh and them most up-to-date source of news.

When not on Twitter, I’ve been working on some T-shirt images for The Hobbit release and I’d like to share them with you.

The first is a “Too Cool for School Thorin” image.

It is in high-resolution and feel free to use it if you like.

I’m not really sure what the thought behind this image is, but I think I need some colour in my life.

Thorin is one cool cat, even if he’s not much taller than one 😉

Dwarves may be sweaty and dirty, but we know they just wanna have fun!

Anyway, remember that I’ve already posted a guide on how to transfer an image onto a T-shirt or other goodie at home HERE!

If you are planning on ironing it on black fabric, make sure you get transfer paper for dark colours.

Also, if you have a special image you’ve created that you’d like to share with other RA nuts, please email me.

Have a wonderful Technicolor Sunday!

More Hilarious Hilda!

A while back a very special Pin Up Girl won our hearts.

It’s time for some more Hilda, created by Duane Bryers.

Today’s theme is one of my most favorite activities reading.

So happy to see that Hilda loves reading too 🙂

It’s not just about reading, Hilda also likes writing 🙂

Hilda is the funniest when she gets into trouble.

Oh, Hilda!

Have a day worthy of Hilda 🙂

Never thought I’d say this, but Richard is a bit of a Rebel

New picture… *drool*…

*thump, passed out…*

While I’m out, the discussion of what the interview says is raging on Twitter.

What I do know, subconsciously of course, is that it comes from HERE.

richard-armitage-glasses

OK, I’m back in the room!

Is it just me, or is Richard channeling a bit of a James Dean vibe here?

The simple white shirt covering a beautiful pair of arms.

I like the ‘don’t give a damn’ look he’s sporting.

Talk about a boy with attitude!

How about the hair?

Ricard has a bit of a modern Pompadour and AgzyM approves 🙂

I adore retro boys!

He looks young, fresh, cool and relaxed, and the mini-tan is killer.

The wall behind Richard was scratched by adoring fans driven crazy by his sexiness!

He can be my rebel without a cause any day 🙂

When I know about the Spanish magazine article, I’ll update the post.

UPDATE: The wonderful ‏@ANGEMAR4 is translating the text on Twitter as I type!

Thank you so much my dear 🙂

Ps. After posting I realised this new image of Richard works beautifully with my blog background.

A match made in heaven 🙂

More UPDATES: Servetus has translated the article and hopefully is will soon appear on RANet.

I’m not sure if I’ll be up by the time that happens, so just follow the link and enjoy.

It’s days like today that make me love our fandom more than ever!

Save your $$$ on a Hobbit Ticket. Here’s the next best thing…

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned that I already have a ticket to see The Hobbit in Leicester Square London for the 13th of Dec thanks to the kindness of Linda60, and I’ll be seeing it with the wonderful (and, I’m happy to add, now healthy) Judit.

The thing that does shock me is the price of the cinema ticket.

£20  for a ticket and  £1 for a pair of 3D glasses is a bit steep.

Believe me, I’ll be paying that time and time again during my stay in London, but I will stop complaining about the price of cinema tickets here in my country.

I paid less than $10 for the Twilight marathon ticket, meaning 5 movies.

Back to the topic at hand, TORn has come up with an amazing compilation of the trailers and TV sports, combining them into a wonderful over 7 minute clip.

If you want to save a penny, just watch thins as it’s (roughly) explains the story.

Oh, and you’ll save money on the glasses, so win-win 😉

Who needs a 3D 48-something kerfuffle with so many viewing options it makes you dizzy, when you can simply watch it on YT LOL!

By the way, I saw this cardboard cut-out of Thorin available on ebay:

I know I’ve joked about having one of these in my bedroom, and I’d probably actually keep it if I was given one as a gift, but I’m not sure I’d actually spend anything on one.

My general observation of Hobbit and Thorin products available on ebay is that they are actually much more expensive than anywhere else.

I wonder if they’re these sellers are aiming for people who can’t purchese the products any other way (like the Empire Magazines).

Anyway, before you actually bid on something, it’s good to shop around and see what other sites have up for grabs.

My Nearest and Dearest are Dwarven’ Awesome, and here’s why…

I’d like to start by thanking everyone for their birthday wishes 🙂

I don’t really like to make a BIG fuss around the day, with one exception.

My nearest do not apply and the bigger the fuss the better 🙂

On Armitage Day I shared with you the cake my sister designed for me the previous year, which you can see here.

This year I asked that the calories count be kept low because I have a pair of Hobbit jeans I’s like to squeeze into soon.

I did love the cake from last year and just when I though that was the coolest birthday surprise ever, my family proved me wrong.

This year I got 5 postcards.

OK, it wasn’t only 5 postcards, but for dramatic effect let’s stick to the concept of:

For my birthday I got 5 postcards, one from each member of my immediate family.

And let me tell you, these are the best postcards ever.

Let me explain:

The first card was from my mom.

Well, hello there Captain Armitage.

I salute you!

I feel safer already knowing you’re in the cockpit…

The back of the postcard said, in rhyme:

Translation: My dear, We’re sending you on a long journey, and a flight above Amsterdam. Avoid temptation and don’t inhale any of that Amsterdam ‘mist’.

Prepare your passport and boarding pass, as Captain Richard will fly you out.

Kisses Mom

What I adore about this is that the street name is: On the Way to London St. and the postal code of the address is actually the one for the Warsaw Airport 🙂

The next postcard was from my dad.

That’s one hotel I wouldn’t mind checking into 🙂

Can I ask for extra towels?

On the flip side:

Translation: My dear, it would be nice, if walking around London was pleasant for you, so  we booked a hotel close to the centre for you.

You’ll feel comfortable there like in biblical heaven.

Overlooking your comfort, and this is no joke, is the dedicated concierge Richard.

Kisses Dad.

The next card is from my Sister Dearest.

Now, you can see why this card is close to my heart.

I’m on constant diets and and looking forward to eating Fish&chips almost as much as seeing The Hobbit!

On the back:

I will never let you down Magzy, nor will I let Cook Richard down, therefore Miss Piggy from Piggleton (love it!) promises to stuff her porker face at the local chippy just for you two 🙂

The next card is from my BFF and I just cracked up when I saw Monet as a Beefeater!

I think they may suspect I have a tad of a crush on Richard Armitage, because Max goes on to say:

I’m in the process of getting my name and address legally changed to the one featured on this postcard 🙂

I think it suits me very well!

This is the last card:

It would seem I’m going on and Unexpected Journey of my very own 🙂

Five wonderful postcards that make me suspicious that they may be on to me and have an inkling that I’m a bit partial to Richard Armitage.

I really do wonder what gave it away?

Anyway, it would seem that my dearest are sticking me on board a plane heading towards London via Amsterdam (no promises about the mist though, when in Rome…), I’ll be staying in a beautiful stylish boutique hotel in the centre and Ill get a chance to see The Hobbit 2 weeks before it opens in my country.

BEST. BIRTHDAY. PRESSIE. EVER!

The Hobbit is Coming, and I need Your Help!!!

The Hobbit Fever, or I should rather call it Hot Dwarven Fever (thanks to Thorin and Kili) has taken over me, and I’ve been spending plenty of time trying to come up with fun and hopefully creative way to celebrate the opening of The Hobbit.

I’d like to publish a few posts that will give you some ideas on how to celebrate in an unusual or special way.

These will include a few designs you can use and a project or two described in detail.

As my DIY/ arts and crafts skills are very limited, I’m reaching out to my fabulous readers and fellow Richard Armitage Admirers for help.

I’m looking for friends who will write guest posts here at I WantToBeAPinUp describing the special activity they are undertaking.

I’m looking for people who bake to test or suggest Hobbit-inspired baked goods and are willing to write about the process.

I’m looking for people who are creating graphics for T-shirts, wallpapers, screen savers etc. who’d like to post them here, therefore making them available to other RA admirers to use free of charge.

I’m looking for people who are great at arts and crafts and/or DIY and are doing something special for The Hobbit release and would like to write about the experience here and inspire others.

If you’ve thought about posting something, but have never had the chance or could never be bothered, now’s a great opportunity 🙂

READING THE HOBBIT IN SEARCH FOR THORIN - PART III & A NEW TRAILER!

Please email me at iwanttobeapinup[at]wp.pl!

Let’s celebrate the release of The Hobbit in the best way possible!

In a way worthy of Thorin Oakenshield 🙂

Ps. If I don’t find wonderful people willing to cooperate on posts, I’ll have to do the arts and crafts and DIY stuff myself, and YOU’LL ALL BE SORRY when I post pictures of the end product…!!!

You have been warned 😉

Silly Sunday: Did you feel the Earth tremble and a Chocolate Vulcano erupt?

Did it move right under your feet?

Did the sun set to the East and rise in the West?

It would seem that two of my loves in life have met in an epic clash (and I’m only slightly exaggerating…).

I unearthed a video on YT which features Richard Armitage doing a KitKat advert.

How the hell did this pass me by?

I need to get my RA signal fixed as I didn’t see Lucas’ bottom reflected in the sky to alert me when this happened.

Bet the lightbulb’s gone…

Richard and Chocolate.

I’m…. dyyyinggg…. of…. lust….

I am NOT envisioning life-size chocolate Richard Armitage sculpture I could nibble on…

Nope… not one bit…

By the way, wasn’t Richard the one who mentioned fantasizing about kissing Nigella Lawson after she’s eaten some chocolate cake?

I don’t really bake, but I wouldn’t mind putting on a Nigella wig and put on a posh British accent Richard, if that helps.

I’ll provide the chocolate cake and lips, you just bring your gorgeous self!

I bring the Hershey’s, you bring the kisses 😉

Armitage Army 101. All for One and One for All!

I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a series of (hopefully) humoristic posts about being a Richard Armitage Admirer.

Like most interesting ideas, I was running the risk of never actually bringing them into being until I came across info regarding one of our RA friends.

Melanie at Melanie’s Musing has given me the perfect opportunity to start off with the posts.

She’s trying to get her blogging hands on $10 000, but needs your vote to win, so please go here and support your fellow Richardette!

Let’s show the world the power of the Armitage Army!

I don’t know who the heck the winner so far Kendra Wells is, but she’s no Armitage Army Richardette!

You can vote once a day, so make sure you return and encourage others to do the same.

Just pretend that Melanie is Richard Armitage and we have to vote against Tom Hiddleston.

Back to the topic at hand!

ATTENTION Armitage Army!

Fall In!

Sgt. Porter is ready to drill you!

Mind out of gutter soldier!

At ease Richardettes*!

This hilarious term was created by Antonia Romera and is possibly the most underused phrase within our fandom 😉

Update:

Make sure you march over to Gisbornes Boy where Seba is giving you the chance to win a sexy Guy bag.
