Mr Sexy In Service to the Crown. London 2012

This clip is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.

Unfortunately, they’ve taken it down from YT, so please follow the link.

It’s worth it, I promise!

My only suggestion, Ma’am.

If you need a handsome and trustworthy man to escort you to a ceremony in future, may I suggest your MI5 agent Lucas North.

He can disarm bombs, speak Russian, and he looks loads better in a tux 🙂

There are perks to being the Queen, and I suggest you perk up your day by hiring Lucas 🙂

  1. England did a beautiful party yesterday!! But the Queen could have smiled a little, couldn’t she??? Maybe if she had been escorted by Lucas…. 😉

    • Even my Dad said it was the best opening ever! I’ve just seen bits and bobs, but I had no dount the Brits would do an amazing job. I think the Queen was feeling a bit seasick after the helicopter jump 😉 It’s not easy to parachute when your close to 80!

  2. Still haven’t seen the ceremony. Missed everything but this. Was disappointed the corgis didn’t parachute in too. 😉

    • LOL! That woud have been great, especially if they wore little doggie goggles 😉

    • Those corgis steal every scene they’re in. I love them!

I thought the Rowen Atkinson bit was also very nice with the “Chariots of Fire” montage. It was nice seeing Ben Cross as a young man running in that movie.

I think London knew it couldn’t outdo the scale and unbelievable military precision of Beijing’s Opening Ceremony 4 years ago, so it played to its core strengths and what people would recognize and appreciate.

      • Those bloody corgis will be making a bid for the crown soon 😉
I remember 4 years ago with the Beijing hoopla, London said it wouldn’t be all cash and flash in 2012. It amazed me how many internationally recognisable symbols of the UK there are. They were all used in the best possible way. I love they played with stereotypes, giving nods to thing people associte Britain with. Me thinks it was a job well done!
BTW, Atkinson is very well known here for Mr Bean, he’s called Jaś Fasola [read Yash Fasola] 🙂

  3. OMG, if Mr “Youknowwho” escorts the Queen, do you think her Majesty could endure the Armitage Effect ????? Non.
