Elsa Schiaparelli was a wonderful Surrealist over the top designer that I wrote about in my previous thesis paper for my Fashion Design degree.
These designs may seem timid for our standards (I’m looking at you Gaga!), but they were shocking and novel for their times.

I admire these women who were ahead their time!!! I imagine this required a lot of courage.
From our perspective they don’t seem all that shocking, but there was a time a woman in trousers raised eyebrows. I shudder to think what will be shocking in 20 years time. I guess it will be the whole Eve fashion and we’ll all be strolling around in the nude, covering our naughty bits with a leaf or two
